Estados Unidos desplegó portaaviones frente a las cosas de Florida en medio de tensiones con Venezuela. La flota está compuesta por el portaaviones USS Abrahm Lincoln (CVN-72), un crucero misilístico y cuatro destructores.
Este grupo de ataque inició el 25 de enero los ejercicios COMPTUEX, los cuales se realizan para poner a punto a las naves antes de un despliegue.
«Los GSG tienen capacidades multiplataforma para operar donde sea y cuando sea requerido», asegura una nota de prensa de la marina de Estados Unidos.
El gobierno de Estados Unidos colocó un portaaviones nuclear y otros seis barcos en el Océano Atlántico, en medio de la crisis política que vive Venezuela.
